In May, 1986 the Regiment rekindled its association with the First Maryland and Ninth Virginia Regiments to once again form "The Corps of the Continental Line" and provide troops for the television mini-series "George Washington, The Forging of a Nation" shown on the CBS television network and starring actor Barry Bostwick. The big filming days took place at the Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation in Ridley Creek State Park and centered around the actions taken to put down the Whiskey Rebellion in July, 1794.
The regiments portrayed the militiamen that were called out by Washington and wore tricorns altered to look more like those worn in that time period, with black leather cockades and red pompons. As always it was a lot of fun and a lot of work and a memorable time spent with friends.
